Class Experience

US Grade 2 - 5
Does your child love funny stories? If so, they will enjoy these silly Hanukkah related stories about the ridiculous town of Chelm. This mythical Jewish town in Poland is full of either wise men or fools - depending upon whom you ask! In this class, students will listen to around three stories about the inhabitants of Chelm.

Students will also be invited to doodle or illustrate as they listen, and to share their drawings with others after the stories are read. After listening to the stories, students will briefly discuss the stories.

**This class is built upon sharing an experience. It works best when students keep their cameras on. Thank you!**

Grab some markers or crayons and paper, find a comfortable seat, and enjoy!

Other Details

Parental Guidance
The stories we will read are modern interpretations of traditional Jewish/Yiddish folklore that have been told for over one hundred years. Many of the characters of the stories are Jewish. Jewish culture, including holidays (such as Hanukah) may be referenced. However, the stories themselves focus on humor, and are secular in nature. All students are welcome to enroll in this class. Recordings of this reading may NOT be shared in any way, on any form of media, including but not limited to Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, etc. Thank you!
