Hangul Korean for Young Learners Level 1.5 - Age 3-4

This class is designed for beginning Korean learners. Students are required to have basic Korean alphabet knowledge as we will be using the Korean alphabet to build words without final consonants (받침/baht-chim).

Students will meet twice/week for 3 weeks building words without final consonants (받침/baht-chim) using basic Korean alphabet knowledge. By building words, we will be reviewing the name and sound of the Korean alphabets. This is a course designed for students who wish to practice their Korean alphabet knowledge before learning advanced Double consonants and Compound Vowels.

This course is designed for young learners from ages 3 to 4. We will be using letter cards, play dough, and blocks to build alphabets and words. Students will be provided with unique worksheets created by the teacher. Students will have opportunities to write and read Korean throughout the course.

Week 1:
1) Words starting with ㄱ gi-yeok,ㄴ ni-eun
2) Words starting with ㄷ di-geut, ㄹ li-eul

Week 2:
1) Words starting with ㅁ mi-eum, ㅂ bi-eup
2) Words starting with ㅅ si-ot, ㅇ ee-eung

Week 3:
1) Words starting with ㅈ ji-eut, ㅊ chi-eut, ㅋ ki-yeok
2) Words starting with ㅌ ti-eut, ㅍ pi-eup, ㅎ hi-eut
