Hang Out and Build In Minecraft - Social Building and Challenge Club

Welcome to the World of Minecraft.  Fellow Minecrafters can meet together during Minecraft Builders club each week to hang out, discuss Minecraft, discuss their adventures, share their creations, exchange tips and tricks, and work together on weekly building projects.  If your child enjoys building in Minecraft and just talking with fellow Minecrafters, this class is for them.  This is meant to be a fun, and relaxing time where students can joke, laugh, share their common Minecraft knowledge, and learn some new Minecraft tricks.  

This class is meant for younger/beginner builders!

You can build in whatever version of Minecraft that you own.  We do offer a Java and a Bedrock server for registered students to play inside of.  ***Students will be building during class time.****

Projects will vary each week, and voted on by the students (I always have a back-up project list and ideas).  There will be a mix of just for fun building challenges and educational builds that will require thought and planning.  I will present the challenge inside the classroom and creative ideas on how to tackle this project in class.

Students who connect with our servers, can play inside of the Minecraft servers anytime, as long as they are registered students.  This really allows students to develop friendships with the students inside of the class. 

During class I will encourage the students in various themed discussions, and they will also vote and pick building projects they want to do together.  I will encourage students to work together in whatever version they are using.  I will be keeping this club as student-led as possible.  

This Builders Club is meant to be fun.  But we will learn fun and exciting facts about the projects we will be building.  

We offer both a whitelisted Java server, and a Bedrock server. Not all game systems will connect with these servers.  That is ok.  Students are able to work on solo projects and still join in on the Zoom discussion.

I have been teaching using Minecraft for over 8 years.  I also teach tech and Minecraft classes at a Partnership School.  I have worked with students of all age levels from early elementary through high school students.  Being a special needs parents of 4 children, each with unique needs, I understand how to help children navigate talking through their passions for Minecraft.  

I truly love seeing kids of all ages excitedly showing the projects they worked so hard planning and executing in Minecraft.
