Class Experience

Learners will be taught English vowel sounds and know the names of the vowels. In this one-time class, young learners are going to start learning the short vowel /a/ sound. We are going to learn this vowel with CVC words. Young learners are going to learn one different vowel sound each time because learning multiple sounds at once might be confusing. In this class, students will practice identifying the short /a/ sound in the word families, for example; (-an) family words( man, fan, can), (_at )family words ( sat, cat, hat), and so on. Young learners are going to have fun and engage in learning this vowel sound through games, quizzes, stories, and many other activities. They are going to write the sound, circle the correct word that carries the sound, add the missing letters according to the available picture and also match the words with their pictures. Also, we are going to read a short story that contains some words with the short vowel /a/ sound.

Teacher expertise and credentials
I was an English teacher to Arabic-speaking students for more than 30 years. I used to teach my kids and my grandkids English and Arabic as I have long experience teaching kids at actual schools and online with Vipkid since 2018. It’s a joy working with children. I am patient and have a friendly teaching environment.
I try hard to understand each of these individual students and motivate them to want and enjoy learning.
My teaching style suits my students' environment. My first aim is to help my students acquire knowledge in multi-skilled activities. I always encourage them to learn from their mistakes and try hard to understand their interests and create a diverse learning environment. It is important for teachers to prepare for their classes beforehand, by reviewing all of the class material as preparation goes hand in hand with the organization. Learning is a long-life process, so we, as teachers, have to provide learners with better opportunities and improve their quality of life.
