Student will learn and use the Handwriting Without Tears approach to printing uppercase letters. This method emphasizes that all letters are made up of basic shapes--big lines, little lines, big curves, and little curves. As each letter is taught, the students will learn the letters start at the top. The students will learn horizontal and vertical lines. Each class will begin with a finger warm up and strengthening exercises for small finger muscles. Each class one letter will be focused on using their sense on touch , sound and writing the letter. Teacher expertise and credentials
As a current preschool teacher I am certified in teaching Handwriting Without Tears and have been teaching this program for 10 years. I know how important it is for young children to know how to write correctly. Handwriting Without Tears is a great approach for handwriting-it is simple, and gives students a basic cue to remember proper letter formation. I will offer simple lessons and lots of praise for young learners!
