The lesson includes a unique SpiderThumbprint Art Project, Drawing Lesson, numerous Scientific Animal Facts and precision to detail with Handwriting in a fun and positive environment.  


* Spider Descriptions/Facts

Helpful Info:
* I will be instructing and demonstrating for students how to form each letter to form words and sentences, however learners should already be fairly comfortable writing the alphabet.

Learning Goals

Student Learning Goals:
*Students will learn scientific characteristics/facts related to spiders
*Students will learn how to make thumbprints on paper with a washable marker
*Students will learn the importance of handwriting/copywork
*Learners will receive explanations of letter formation
*Learners will write 4-5 sentences pertaining to spiders(some sentences may be modified to meet leaner needs)
*Students will add detailed artwork to their thumbprints to create spiders
*Proper grammar, punctuation, spelling and penmanship will be emphasized and modeled 
*Learners will be challenged to write with precision to the best of their ability in a positive and encouraging environment
*Students will work to improve fine motor skills
*Learners will have the opportunity to share work with others if they choose
