Description
Class Experience
-Increased writing legibility -Reduced letter reversals -Understanding the anatomy of each letter -Put the fun back into handwriting
Instructor has taught handwriting to students from K-8th grade using the anatomy of a letter that is used in calligraphy. Instructor has also taken Real Script courses from Real Spelling.
Students will be encouraged to practice the letter sets as words, as well as practicing the embellishments.
Flowing ink pen is highly recommended for this class, such as a fountain pen or a gel pen. Pencils, markers, and ball point pens are not recommended. Gel pens are $2-3, while a fountain pen can be found at office supply stores for around $10. Students will also need unlined paper. Some prefer a sketch pad.
25 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
