What's included
1 live meeting
40 mins in-class hoursClass Experience
With a focus on handstand technique, stacking and strength we will go through a variety of dynamic exercises and activities. Learners will develop better bodily awareness, confidence being upside-down as well as improve coordination. This class is open to beginners, intermediate and even advanced learners as the drills we practice are important for all skill levels. FOR BEGINNER LEARNERS: These shapes will engage the muscles necessary to create a controlled handstand and being comfortable putting weight on their hands. FOR ADVANCED LEARNERS: practicing these shapes will aid in the understanding and muscular requirements to hold a handstand longer than 1 second. As someone who did competitive gymnastics for 7 years and practice handstand shapes myself every week these are still shapes that I hold in warmup to activate muscle memory and access a balance point. Modifications will always be available. This will be an active class. Every lesson students will need an efficient amount of floor space to exercise in a variety of movements with the class.
Learning Goals
Learners will become more confident putting their weight on their hands and being upside-down.
