Hands-On Phonics: Learn to Read & Spell CVC Words with Playdough (Prek & K)

This ongoing class is designed for learners that want to learn to read. This class focuses on letters and letter sounds to build words. Instruction is based off of word families. Learners will learn the word family first (-at, -en, -ip, -on, -ut, etc.) and then practice adding beginning letters to form words. Learners will you play dough to create each word. Learners will also be provided with a worksheet to practice writing the words at home. This sheet can be turned into a book to practice words. During class, we will play games to help reinforce the skills!

We focus on a different word family each week. The weeks are stand alone lessons so learners can join at any time!
