Description
Class Experience
In this class, students delve deeply into number sense in a hands-on way using physical or printable Montessori manipulatives, creating a firm mathematical foundation with numbers to the millions. Students who understand and truly master math concepts naturally learn to love math, and I want my students to experience math in a hands-on way where they know they can try new things, make mistakes, and learn from them. Each class begins with a brief glance at the calendar and once-a-week...
Students will gain confidence in math as they work with number sense and various operations and tools.
I have been teaching Montessori-inspired math classes for 2.5 years. I am a certified elementary teacher (expiring in July 2023) with two education degrees from Western Kentucky University, and was a National Board certified teacher. I have taught in public school, a homeschool hybrid school, and currently homeschool my two children, while also teaching on Outschool.
The newsletter has optional at-home extension ideas, but not worksheets.
