Beginner - Intermediate Level
In this one on one class, students in the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd grade will learn addition, subtraction, time, money, multiplication, or division using hands-on activities and manipulatives such as pop its and an abacus. These manipulatives will help solidify the fundamental concepts of addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and time. We can cover any of the following topics and more: Addition and Subtraction within 10 Addition and Subtraction within 20 Multiplication 1s-12s Dividing numbers by 1-12 Using an analog clock Counting, adding, and subtracting money Counting by 2s, 3s, 4s, 5s, 6s, 7s, 8s, 9s, 10s, 11s, 12s In advance of class, the teacher will need to be provided with the grade level and/or skill level of the learner to allow them to individualize the instruction for the learner. A weekly schedule has not been provided because this class will be completely adapted to the needs of the learner.
