Class Experience

US Grade Kindergarten - 3
This class is an extension to my Hands-On Montessori Math classes for students looking for more practice. We tackle one topic each week and do extra games and activities based on that topic. Students can stay all year or come and go as they please since each week. Students work with number sense, addition, subtraction, geometry, fractions, money, and more. Students also gain cooperative learning and social skills by taking turns and actively listening. I use a second camera so that students can see my table as they work with their manipulatives at the same time as I do. This class goes through the school year and then starts over again.

Plans for the first 5 weeks are:
Week 1: Geometry
Week 2: Fractions, probability, and/or graphing
Week 3: Money
Week 4: Telling time or measurement
Week 5: Multiplication/Skip counting

After 5 weeks, we begin the rotation again, using different activities to reinforce the concept.
Learning Goals
Students gain confidence as they work with numbers in a variety of ways.
