Join this super fun hands on kindergarten smash math class which will include a variety of hands-on math activities. We will use fun-dough mats, smash mats, and activity mats as well as a math connecting cubes, legos, and other manipulatives to create exciting and engaging hands-on math activities for kindergarten level math students. Hands-on Math helps learners be able to visualize mathematic concepts and gain the necessary understanding of the fundamentals. Hands-on math is well-suited for learners who learn more effectively when provided with non-traditional approaches to learning. Through the use of hands-on math, learners have shown improved motivation, enthusiasm, and attention during class. Learning Goals
Understanding Numbers and Base Ten
Learners will develop a foundational understanding of numbers by working with Base Ten concepts, including making 10 and 20, as well as practicing addition to 10 and 20.
Mastering Basic Addition and Subtraction
Learners will gain confidence in basic arithmetic by practicing addition and subtraction within 1-5 and 1-10, helping them build essential math skills.

Parental Guidance
Play-doh may contain wheat, which could cause and allergic reaction if ingested in those sensitive to wheat gluten or with Celiac Disease.
Adult supervision and/or assistance with the use of safety scissors is needed especially when students do not have previous experience using scissors.
