During "Handmade #1 Dad Father's Day Card Crafting", students will enjoy an interactive crafting session, in which our final product will be a handmade Father's Day cards, featuring a faux medal. Students will be provided with the opportunity to interact with the teacher and students via direct instruction of our card making craft throughout the duration of the class. Class time will be structured in the following way: 1) greetings & introductions 2) direct step-by-step instruction of faux medal creation and application to Father's Day card 3) addition of special message on the outside of the card 4) reflections & celebrations! Skills taught will include cutting out shapes with scissors, gluing card parts together and writing special messages in a card. No prior crafting experience is required.

If students need technological assistance, please provide as necessary. This may include working the features in the Outschool classroom.
If students need crafting assistance during class, please provide as necessary. Please note the use of scissors; adult assistance is highly advised.
Supply List
Required supplies: -1 blank card (any size & color paper, folded in half; cardstock recommended for its sturdiness) -1 sheet white paper (front of medal) -choice of 1 sheet colored/patterned/glitter paper (back of medal) -scissors -glue -Washi tape or other similar crafting tape (1 or more varieties) -writing instrument (for exterior and interior messages) Optional supplies: -a circular object, such as a glass or jar, to trace circles from
