Students will learn how to hand sew a face mask.
Class experience
Students will learn how to make their own double layered face mask. I will teach them everything from how to make the pattern to sewing the mask together. I will teach them how to measure their face to make a mask that will be the perfect fit and then instruct them on how to make the pattern. I have taught sewing to a variety of ages for many years.
fabric (I like to use something like cotton or a lightweight knit) One mask does not use a lot of fabric but I usually buy 1/4 yard and that will make about 4-5 masks. scissors sewing needle thread measuring tape elastic (I recommend the thin cord elastic, it can be found in the kids bead craft section if you shop at Joann's)
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
We will be using scissors and a sewing needle.
