In this popular science class, students will learn facts about Hammerhead Sharks. We will explore and compare the habitat, characteristics, diet, family group and conservation status of Hammerheads. I will be using a presentation created using photo slides and asking interactive questions that will also integrate elements of geography, math and vocabulary into an animal science lesson designed to motivate natural curiosity. I will also include two downloadable templates that will help...
1. Students will learn facts about the physical characteristics of Hammerhead Sharks such as size, diet, habitat and characteristics. 2. Students will learn how scientists use these characteristics to compare and classify a species like Hammerhead Sharks. 3. Students will learn why conservation of Hammerheads is so important and what is being done to prevent the extinction of this species. 4. Students will learn new vocabulary words related to the study of the Hammerheads and the ocean habitat.
