In this one-time, discussion-based course, students will analyze the characters in "Hamilton" through the lens of Hogwarts houses. Through a lively debate around what characters belong in which house--Is Alexander a Slytherin or a Ravenclaw? Is Burr a Gryffindor or Hufflepuff? -- students will gain a deeper understanding of character development in the musical and practice their verbal argumentation skills. All Hamilton fans and Potterheads welcome. You don't have to be an expert in either...
Students will learn character analysis, practice supporting their opinions with evidence and logical reasoning, develop their interpersonal skills with their fellow students, and enhance their debate skills.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
1 hour 10 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
