Halloween, Halloween! Lot's of fun on Halloween! One of the most anticipated times of the year for children is October, the month of jack-o-lanterns and candy! With that in mind, I have created this Halloween story time so your child can sit and listen to some entertaining stories that will help them get in the Halloween mood of shivery fun. On your end - a blanket, a snack, and some dim lighting would aid in making this Halloween story time even more fun! Your child is sure to enjoy this...

30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Masks are welcome, however, they should be removed for identification during the first four minutes of class to meet safety and privacy policies. *Important: When children comment or ask questions about a story, I stop reading to engage with the child, thereby prolonging the story. For this reason, I cannot know exactly how long it will take to read a book. It is quite possible that I may not get around to reading all the books I have listed. The Halloween books I plan to read are all children's books and are not scary. I have read them to kindergarten through second grade children for many years and no child has ever been frightened. However, I do try to read them with a spooky, dramatic flair.
Depending on time, a combination of the following books will be read: Scary, Scary Halloween by Jan Brett The Pumpkin Smasher by Anita Benarde A Dark Dark Tale by Ruth Brown The Little Old Lady Who Was Not Afraid of Anything by Linda Williams
