In this one-time course, we will explore the origins of the Jack-O'-Lantern and use a coordinate graph to create Jack-O'-Lantern art. To begin this class, we will read a passage about the history of how the Jack-O'-Lantern came to be. Students will answer comprehension questions as we discuss the reading passage. After that we will us a coordinate graph with an x and y axis to plot a picture of a Jack-O'-Lantern. Finally, students will decorate their Jack-O'-Lanterns however they like. So, come join me for a fun and educational class!

Students will need the class handouts printed and ready for the class as well as a pencil, crayons and any decorations they would like to use on pumpkin coordinate graph.
