Students will learn basic jazz dance terminology and movement while dancing to fun and familiar songs. We will practice balance, flexibility, and coordination skills. Most of all we will have FUN!
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
I will provide positive and encouraging feedback to students during the class
45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Please create a space that is open and large enough for your dancer to move, dance, jump and glide without bumping into things. Learners should wear comfortable clothing that they can easily move in. Halloween costumes are highly encouraged, but not required. Learners should either wear jazz shoes, ballet shoes or have bare feet. Please no socks, as dancers can easily slip while wearing them. After story time, we will begin by sitting on the floor to stretch, and then move to standing for the remainder of the class.
