Happy Halloween! In this one-time class, students will learn how to make a shadow box Halloween scene using paper and a cereal box as their primary materials. Students will also be taught the concept of creating depth within the staging of a scene, as well as how to the use of colour can create different lighting effects and moods within a piece of art. 1 file available upon enrollmentStudents will need to bring the following items to class: an empty cereal box, scissors, markers, glue, coloured construction/craft paper (preferably orange or purple, and lots of black), tape. Please remember to print the template file listed in the classroom conversations/main page *before* class if you wish to do the same design as me. NOTE: The printable template is available for download/printing in the "Welcome" message in the form of a PDF file named "template-pdf". Please contact me before class if you wish to download this file but cannot access it.
45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
PLEASE BE ADVISED: This course required the use of POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS materials such as scissors (risk of physical injury) and glue (toxic if ingested). Students should be supervised by an adult to prevent harm from using these items.
