Class experience
It's time to get messy with this Halloween themed science class. Students will learn all about Non-Newtonian substances while making pumpkin guts. First, we will start with lesson time. The students will be introduced to Newtonian substances and how they behave, according to the laws of science. A lab sheet will be uploaded to the classroom prior to class. Supplies needed are: One pumpkin, cut in half, with guts left in Cornstarch Water Measuring cups
This will require a pumpkin that has been cut in half. Guts can remain inside the pumpkin, but it is better for the pumpkin to be cut prior to class time and, preferably, by an adult.
