Class Experience

Reading is better when you are having fun! So, I have created a Halloween-themed reading comprehension class to engage learners while we practice FOUR different comprehension skills: summarize, story plot, character analyzations, and questioning.  Along with these skills students will learn two higher-level vocabulary words.  Finally we will respond to a prompt to promote their use of text evidence in a written response.  Students will receive the organizer that matches the comprehension...

Certified teacher with 16 years of English Language Arts experience and continued professional development learning researched-based teaching strategies.

*Print the organizer that I post in the class (you will need 2 of them...one for reading and one for writing)
*Pencils-can type or write the draft after class

40 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
