In this one-time class, learners will get to celebrate the Halloween holiday! We will begin class with the children telling us their name, age and some of their favorite halloween things! This can include their favorite Halloween tradition, candy or song. They are encouraged to dress up and can tell us all about their costumes! Next, we will read Room on the Broom by Julia Donaldson. After the book, we will discuss it together. The kids will help me sequence the events. Last, we will do a craft together based on the book.

Supply List
For our craft, we will be using brown paint. If you do not wish to paint (it can be messy!), a brown marker will be fine. The kids will need a piece of paper and different materials to color/decorate with (crayons/markers/etc.).

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

Hi! My name is Jessica Figueroa, or Teacher Jessica! I have a double Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and Psychology from Liberty University. I also have my TESOL certification. I have taught preschool/young elementary age children for over ten years. I have taught online ESL since July 2019. I homeschool two of my children, both in early elementary grades.
I love to teach preschool and elementary aged children. There is never a dull moment with this age group! My teaching style is a unit-study type approach. I love teaching different themes and incorporating all subjects in the theme such as math, science and reading!
My husband is in the military, so we move quite often. My favorite hobby is traveling. My husband's career has allowed us to travel around the world! I also love all things princesses and Disney! :)
