Only 1 ingredient, hypo-allergenic Ivory soap! During this one time exciting class, we will make homemade soap gifts out of Ivory soap. Class will start with the awesome science experiment, explaining the chemistry behind Ivory soap and its air properties. Before their own eyes, they will watch their Ivory soap grow and expand. It will feel like magic! Once we create our awesome fluffy soap, we will then be creative while making them into our soap molds. Think of all those little plastic Halloween trinkets, the spider rings, the plastic bats, and all those little party favor trinkets you probably have in your holiday box. They make excellent hidden treasures inside our soap. The soap will be put into a mold (you can use a muffin tin, be creative with a simple mold that you have at home). This class makes a great group party as well, we will have fun Halloween music playing while we are creating our awesome gifts.
Learning Goals
Although this class is pure fun, there will be sneaky learning since everyone will want to know how in the world their soap could magically rise the way it does.

Teacher expertise and credentials
My favorite subject has always been science (from sports science to classroom science), I love it all! I love teaching and helping kids understand these concepts. As a physician, I have taken many science classes and I love that I can take these concepts and make out fun for kids.
