In this flexible schedule class, learners will create eight origami models relating to the theme of Halloween!

Class Experience

This four-week, flexible schedule origami class is for all interested learners.  There are no live meetings for this course; rather, students learn independently from video lectures on Edpuzzle and origami instructional videos.  This course blends origami, history, and Halloween.  Learners interact with one another through sharing their work, Positive Critiques, and classroom games.

This origami course features: 
Week 1:  Skull and Witch's Hat 
Week 2:  Standing Jack-O'-Lantern and Pumpkin...

This class is taught in English.

Students will build their origami skills by using listening and observation skills to follow step-by-step directions for creating origami models. 
Students will learn facts about the history of origami.
Students will learn facts about the holiday of Halloween.

Learner progress is assessed informally through classroom posts and Positive Critiques.
Grades Offered

Origami paper for folding: color on one side and white on the other, or color on both sides, or designs (available at craft stores like Hobby Lobby or Michael's, or online from Blick art or Amazon, and many other art supply sites) OR cut your own paper squares from paper around your home
Scissors
A craft stick for creasing
Markers for decorating
A gluestick or any glue

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

Parental guidance is suggested while students are using scissors.
