This one time class for students ages 7 - 10 will challenge students to solve a riddle by working together on a variety of math word problems. Once the riddle is solved, the cabin door opens and the group will escape the lagoon.

Class Experience

This one time Halloween themed class will challenge students to solve a variety of math problems, using an escape room format. Students will work together to find the hidden pictures in order to find the questions and solve the riddle. They must escape the room in 30 minutes.  Math problems will involve a variety of concepts at the second and third grade level, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, data, time, money, and simple geometry. This class is taught in English.

I served as a public school educator for over 26 years. During that time, I specialized in science, math, and STEM engineering design, including coding and robotics through after school programs. After leaving the classroom, I was a science and math instructional coach in the largest school district in my state, working to help teachers improve academic achievement in science and math with their students.
