We will learn some Kawaii-style drawing to make some very cute Halloween characters. We will draw in real time and learn the steps for drawing six different characters (or more if time allows). Drawing skills that we will practice include: pencil sketching, sighting/measuring, color gradient, and ink outlining. During drawing time we will also encourage discussion among peers to share favorite Halloween past-times. This is a fun art class that will allow for relaxing, and chatting, while sharing some halloween giggles with friends and drawings to get into the halloween spirit.
Learning Goals
Students will improve drawing skills such as proportion, sketching, finalizing shapes, and color gradient. The characters we will draw are candy corn, a lollipop, ghost, bat, pumpkin, and a cute skull. Students will also practice conversation skills and enjoy a relaxing activity.

Parental Guidance
This class is Halloween themed so there is a skull and a ghost included in our character list. The drawing style is very cute and not scary. Please refer to the cover photo to determine if this content is a good fit for your child.
Supply List
Pencils, eraser, white paper, crayons or colored pencils, and a black pen (preferably gel-pen or fine-tip black marker).

I have my bachelor's degree in Graphic Design from Brigham Young University Idaho. I also studied UX/UI design from California Institute of the Arts. I am currently a freelance designer, online teacher, and mother of four.
I believe that the best learning comes from doing. Students learn from practicing the principles taught and from sharing what they learn with their peers. It is important to have fun in my classes, as well as talking with other students about class concepts and similar interests. Learning is about chasing what excites you and diving into all you can with it.
My hobbies include reading, drawing, and baking. I love good food - including 'nicecream', butternut squash, and cheesecake.
