This one-time beginners hip hop dance class will introduce basic movements of hip hop. We warm-up, stretch and will learn a fun, upbeat halloween dance routine. During class we also take a couple breaks and create a Descendants Pumpkin! Feel free to dress up!
Class experience
During this class we start off with a warm-up and we will stretch our bodies. We will also do some cardio exercises and learn some hip-hop moves for about 7-10 minutes. We will then learn choreography to an upbeat Descendants/Halloween song. (Approximately 30 -35 minutes) During class we will take a couple breaks to insure that the children are able to give their muscles a rest that include about 5 minutes to create a Descendants Pumpkin at the end of class! Your child will learn basic movements of hip hop and movement. This song is upbeat and fun. The goal of this class is to get the student excited about dance, move around and exercise, learn something new and learn a full routine by the end of the class!
I have been teaching for 19 years in several styles of dance for all ages. I have danced professionally including Walt Disney World, The Orlando Magic (NBA) Dance Team, Carnival Cruise Lines and more. I have directed many dance teams and have judged at competitions and professional dance and cheer team auditions. My passion is to help others be their best! I am passionate, caring and fun and look forward to meeting your child!

4 files available upon enrollmentWe will create a Descendants Pumpkin! I have attached a photo of what we will be making in the welcome message. Bring 3-4 pieces of paper for your pumpkin, I have attached 3 different Descendants paper options. You will also need scissors, and glue stick. You can use a pipe cleaner for your stem or use paper for the stem.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Make sure your child is taking class in a safe space in a clear area where they can extend their arms out side to side and front and back. Also, make sure your child has water nearby and wears comfortable clothing. (Dance at your own risk.)
