Join us in class to share your favorite Halloween item or costume, draw some cute and easy Halloween doodles, and learn facts about the history of Halloween. There will be a trivia game at the end of class!

Let's have a festive and fun interactive celebration together learning Halloween history facts! We can share some of our favorite Halloween items (costume, decoration, book, etc). You can even wear your costume during our class. We will draw cute Halloween pictures while learning about why we see things like witches, candy corn, and bats around Halloween. Pay close attention because there will be a trivia game at the end of class! Students will be encouraged to talk and share artwork along the way while meeting new friends.

I have been a teacher for 13 years. My first 11 years were spent in the public school system teaching 5th grade and middle school science. I have taught over 3,500 online English classes during the last 2 years while staying home with my two young children. When planning my lesson projects and objectives, I always ask myself, "Would I want to do this activity if a teacher assigned it to ME?"If you've ever worked with toddlers or middle schoolers, you know this is not always an easy task! ;-) My goal is to help students successfully understand important concepts while providing a fun learning experience and building positive relationships.
As a child, I can remember watching my grandmother sew beautiful, complicated dresses and it became an inspiration for me. I always enjoyed taking initiative and learning how to make clothes and toys for my dolls (and pets!) and create fun decorations for holidays. My childhood, professional, and "mom" experiences have paved the way for my DIY and holiday crafting classes, circle time for preschoolers, and middle school biology lessons! I cannot imagine loving any profession more than teaching. Outschool gives me an opportunity to share a wide variety of classes with learners; we have so much to learn together!
