Description
Class Experience
Week one: We will learn to thread a needle and tie it off. We will also learn a straight stitch and a whip stitch to practice which we will be using for the rest of the class. For Practice, we will be drawing out the shape of two pumpkins and sewing around them to practice our stitches. Week one supplies: One piece of felt, any color, a needle, thread, any color, scissors, a marker. Week two: We will be making a pumpkin pincushion. Week two supplies: One piece of orange felt, one piece of green felt, thread color of your choice, needle, uncooked rice, marker. Weeks three and four: We will be making A mini Jack-o-lantern pillow. Weeks three and four supplies: Two pieces of orange felt, one piece of black, one piece of green, a needle, thread, a pencil, and a marker.
No live meetings, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
This class involves the use of sharp tools: needles and siccors. Some students will need adult supervision.
