Halloween Fall Fun: Story Time and Sight Words With Pete the Cat!
In this one time class, students will actively participate while listening to Pete the Cat: Trick or Pete. Students will answer comprehension questions and identify key sight words in the story. Activity and game will follow!

Class Experience
Students will actively listen and participate in a read-aloud story. Students will read, write and identify 4 common sight words for early readers. Students will answer questions before, during and after the story. Students will the have the option to share their decorated Pete with peers.
I have a degree in Elementary Education. I have taught 2nd and 3rd grade in a public school setting, as well as, children from all around the world online!
-A printable handout(s) for students will be provided 24 hours prior to class. Handout might include pieces that should be cut before class to save time. -Students will also need 10-12 small objects to use as covers for the BINGO game. Pennies, legos, marshmallows, quarters ect...
The teacher will check for understanding in a variety of different ways throughout the lesson. This will include thumbs-up, hand raise, and a vocal response from the student.
35 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Parents can assist with gathering supplies before class if needed. Also, since this class is intended for young learners, it is recommended that the parent sits nearby and/or teach your child to push the UNMUTE/MUTE button. This will cut down on any unwanted background noise.
