Description
Class Experience
This fun class will help students bring out their inner artist while learning basic techniques in drawing and painting with watercolors.
There is no homework for this class. Each student will complete their own work of art within the class time.
-watercolor paper(9x12 size is a recommendation and can really be done on various sizes but steps may have to be adapted for different sizes) -Watercolor Paint Set in various colors: white, black, yellow, orange, green, blue, red, brown (other colors can be used if student wants to be creative) -Rainbow set of crayons -Paper Towels -Paper Plate (at least 2) -Pencil with eraser -Water cup -Brushes in various sizes (a large #10 Flat, a medium #12 Round, a small #4 liner) These brushes are only a recommendation and we can make different ones work if needed but it is important to have at least one larger brush for large areas and one smaller brush for details. -Masking tape can be helpful to tape paper down while painting but not a necessity -black sharpie marker is sometimes helpful to have
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
The learner's progress will be assessed informally, but each will receive feedback on the piece of art created during class.
50 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
There is no parental guidance required for this class other than possibly helping set up painting materials.
