Description

Class Experience

Teacher holds a B.A. in Psychology and a Master's Degree in Liberal Studies; her thesis research was based on art and world humanities. She is a valued art history, yoga, and humanities/linguistics teacher on our Outschool platform (see other parents' reviews).
Learner will require a quiet area to enjoy the class and be able to participate with open video and mic.
Informally, throughout class time.
1 hour per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
The sources used in this class include The Smithsonian Institution, History, PBS, National Geographic, and Harvard University. For the Day of the Dead, from Mexico, in addition to articles on the matter by the above captioned and well respected institutions, a FaceTime interview was conducted with Dr. Fernando Quiros Pacheco, a physicist native of Mexico, currently working on the Magellan Telescope Project in Pasadena, California. All sources are based on unbiased journalism and/or factual descriptions of how these traditions are practiced by the people today.
