In this one time class, students will learn about forms of Japanese poetry including the haiku, renga, mondo, and more. Students will use their senses to explore the world around them. They will experience writing various forms of poetry, both independently and collaboratively. By the end of class, students will have several poems written. All students will be provided with a PDF of handouts explaining the different forms of poetry so they can continue to experiment with them on their own after class!
