Tips, tricks, "hacks" and more for living life with ADHD! In this one-time class we will review some common ADHD-related struggles and explore various "hacks" to positively enhance our daily lives.

Class Experience

Learners will review what ADHD, and executive functioning skills are, and various ways it can impact our lives. Learners will have the opportunity to explore some tips, tricks, and "hacks" to support some of the more common daily struggles associated with an ADHD diagnosis.
Ms. Sheera has a 4 year Bachelor of Arts Degree in Child and Youth Care and a 3-year college Diploma in Child and Youth Work. She has been creating and facilitating emotional regulation groups for over 20 years in numerous environments, such as in schools, group home facilities and community centres; and with a variety of children and youth (i.e. children and youth with ASD, ADHD, OD, CD diagnoses, as well as neurotypical children and youth). 
Ms. Sheera has the following training certifications and continuously participates in professional learning opportunities:
- Behaviour Management Strategies certification
- Applied Behavioural Analysis (ABA) training
- Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) certification
- Mental Health First Aid certification
- Understanding and Intervening in the Cycle of Youth Violence training
- Single Sessions Counselling certification
- Courageous Conversations, Confronting Racial Discrimination and Anti-Black Racism (monthly ongoing opportunity)
- Indigenous Perspectives on Mental Health and Trauma training sessions
Ms. Sheera is also a Professional Member of the Ontario Association of Child and Youth Care.
She is a neurodivergent, ADHD, educator.
Each learner will receive a package to complete or use as examples after class. They will also receive a tip sheet based on what we discussed during the class.
- a printer (for the resources after class) - if you'd like to take notes - writing utensil and paper or alternative method of taking notes (i.e. electronic device)
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
55 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
