¡Hablemos y practiquemos Español! 4 - Spanish for High Schoolers
What's included
8 live meetings
6 hrs 40 mins in-class hoursClass Experience
This is part 4 of 4, and it requires prior knowledge of conjugating in the following tenses: Present, Preterit, Imperfect. Students are encouraged to dedicate at least 1 hour of work during the week, completing exercises, and studying vocabulary. The 4 classes together are equivalent to what I teach in 2 semesters at the College level. In this interactive class, students are encouraged to participate in conversing in Spanish, answering questions and reading aloud. My classes focus on grammar as the starting point to build on; this way students will learn to make sentences, understand reading text, to then speak the language correctly. In this class, we will cover Future tense, Imperative tense (giving commands and recommendations), and the Subjunctive (introduction). We will also practice conversation and work on a Final Project consisting of an essay in Spanish. I will provide all the material and students are highly encouraged to review prior to and after each session. Students are also encouraged to take notes in class. Every session will include a lesson presented with slides or PDF files, and activities in the form of a game, conversation, or a quiz. Prior knowledge of the language is required, specifically: greetings and introductions, numbers, colors, personal pronouns, noun-article agreement, and noun-adjective agreement, conjugating in the Present Tense (regular and irregular verbs), possessive pronouns, prepositions, expressing future with the verb "ir", and conjugating in the Preterit and the Imperfect.
