This 45-minute lesson will be tailored to your child's specific gymnastics goals
This semi-private gymnastics lesson will be open to two students per week, and we will work toward those students' specific gymnastics-related goals. This could include rolls, handstands, cartwheels, walkovers, handsprings, flips, general strengthening and flexibility, trampoline, or anything else gymnastics related. Students will learn strength, stretching, drills, and improve their gymnastics technique.
In addition to being a former competitive gymnast, I have been coaching gymnastics at the recreational and competitive levels for over 20 years!
Homework OfferedStudents will be encouraged to practice outside of class, always with supervision.
2 - 4 hours per week outside of class
Required: Clear open space Soft floor surface Roll of masking tape (for hand and foot markers, line on floor for balance) Couch cushion Chair against a wall or couch without cushion Optional: Panel mat Wedge mat Padded wall Practice Balance Beam Trampoline Any other equipment
As with any sport or physical activity, gymnastics carries a risk of injury. Minimize this risk with a clear open space, appropriate clothing and equipment, and adult supervision.
