Bridge kickovers are an important skill in gymnastics. They require both flexibility and strength. They also require confidence! In this one time class, we will do different drills to help the student achieve a bridge kickover. These drills include: *Stretching/shoulder flexibility *Bridges with one leg up *Bridges rocking and forth *Bridge kickover using an elevated surface *Bridge kickover on flat surface Please have the student bring an item that can serve as an elevated surface during the class, such as a folded-up gymnastics panel mat (strongly recommended) or a couch. Please also have a flat surface that is soft (NO hard floors) available. The drills we will be doing require that the student already have a strong bridge (with appropriate shoulder flexibility).

Parental Guidance
An adult caregiver should supervise students as they take this class and ensure that they adhere to the correct flooring requirement, spacing requirement, and clothing requirement. Gymnastics is a physical art form and injuries can occur if children are not focused and not practicing in the right setting or clothing. It is imperative that students go barefoot- socks are easy to slip in.
Supply List
*Open space *Item to use as an elevated surface- folded gymnastics panel mat is strongly recommended but a couch can also be used (provided the flooring is soft underneath it) *Workout clothes or leotard *Please go barefoot
