In this private gymnastics lesson, we will work toward your students' specific gymnastics-related goals. This could include rolls, handstands, cartwheels, walkovers, handsprings, flips, general strengthening and flexibility, trampoline, or anything else gymnastics related. Class will always start with a short warm-up and stretch, during which we will discuss the student's goals and how the day's lesson will be structured. Students will learn drills, stretches, and exercises designed to enhance their gymnastics technique.
In addition to being a former Level 8 competitive gymnast, I have coached gymnastics at the recreational and competitive levels for over 19 years. I have written curriculum for and taught gymnastics to thousands of children and I would be delighted to work with yours.
An open space and soft floor area are needed. Other supplies depend entirely on your learner's goals, but may include: chair sofa sofa cushion step stool yoga block(s) wedge mat practice balance beam trampoline
45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
As with any sport or physical activity, gymnastics carries a risk of injury. Minimize this risk with a clear open space, appropriate clothing and equipment, and adult supervision.
