Description

Class Experience

No prior knowledge of cells is required for this class.
I teach using a combination of teacher-led class discussion and visual presentations. I encourage student participation and welcome student questions. 
We will learn that because of the cell processes that occur, cells are the building blocks of all life, and how passive transport works.

We will learn the importance of each of the following cell processes:
1. Photosynthesis
2. Respiration
3. Waste elimination
4. Mitosis (we will not...

This class is taught in English.

compare and illustrate the processes of photosynthesis and respiration
identify and recall the functions of the cellular processes listed 
summarize the ways that these processes affect cellular (and organism) survival

I am a highly qualified science teacher for grades elementary through grade 9. I have over 15 years of classroom teaching experience in a public school. I have presented at local, state, and national science conferences.  I get excited every time I have the opportunity to teach about biology and chemistry in living organisms. I hope to share the wonder that I have about the processes that occur at the smallest levels to keep us alive.

Students will benefit from reviewing their notes or class video from the previous lesson.
