In this action packed one time class, students will learn a brief overview of catapults including why they were originally designed and how different types of energy play a part in how they work. Then students will build their own catapult using popsicle sticks and rubber bands. We will brainstorm how Santa and the Elves might use a catapult to make their jobs easier! Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Some help may be needed to wrap rubber bands around the popsicle sticks during catapult assembly.
