Class Goals: -Students will be able to play various genres of music - Students will learn to identify what key a song is in - Lesson plans will be tailored to achieve the individual goals of the student - Students are welcome to request certain songs be taught to them. -Students will learn many different ways to have fun with their instrument! Class Experience: Each class we will begin by tuning our guitars. Individual lesson plans may vary depending on what the student has an interest in learning. Practicing is an essential part of learning to play guitar. Class time is valuable because it lets the student know what to practice. Without practicing at home the student will have difficulty progressing. Many students can become discouraged at first and not want to practice because they don’t feel as though their practicing sounds musical. Musicality comes with time. The more a student is encouraged to practice the more they will be able to develop as a musician.
Music is supposed to be fun! Learning to play a musical instrument is a very rewarding lifelong adventure. I am very passionate about spreading the love and appreciate for music and helping others along their own musical journey.
