This is a course for students who want to receive 1:1 guitar instruction from the comfort of their own home. Students will be able to become proficient in guitar, as well as learn songs or styles that are interesting to them.

Beginner - Intermediate Level
One on one guitar lessons will be provided in weekly, one hour lessons. Students will be shown concepts, practice them with me, and then I will listen to them on their own. We will be learning major and minor tonality, chords, playing leads and melodies, scales and finger exercises, and will learn songs that students pick. The class is informal but structured. We always start with tuning and scales. work on some theory, and then work on the student's chosen song. Because I have been teaching for 17 years, I am easily able to gear things towards learners needs and interests. I also use a lot of humor and connection to ease tension and help students get over challenging topics.Students will have access to reference and video materials as well.
Learning Goals
Guitar chords- Students will memorize and play chords together in progressions to build songsMusic Theory- Students will learn the technical language of music and how to apply it.

Instruction is learner centered and so students can be given as much or as little as they need to be successful.
