Class Experience
In this course, we will continue to build your guitar toolkit we have been working through levels 1, and 2, of this course by adding in some fingerstyle basics and incorporating more lead mixed in with your rhythm playing to help you become a competent musician that can continue to progress independently with a healthy technique and a strong musical foundation. Basics of guitar: chords, strums, scales, theory, finger dexterity, and everything you need to start at the very beginning to becoming a competent musician and playing the guitar!
I have a degree in Music Theory and Composition from Berklee College of Music and have been teaching and playing professionally since the 90s.
Each week there will be homework geared to help you retain the information we covered in class. This helps you to build a solid lasting foundation as a musician. The homework each week will take roughly 30 minutes. Then, in order to get the most out of class, you should practice for 30-minutes to an hour daily. All handouts and information are included within your zip-file

Though there will not be letter grades for this course, I will give tips and helpful advice on any specific, personal weaknesses I see during this course, or while reviewing your homework from each week. My goal is to help you be the best guitarist you can be.
50 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 2 - 4 hours per week outside of class.
The course will focus solely on the musical and not the lyrical context of the songs included in this course. We will not be going over anything Graphic or harmful in any way.
You will not need any outside sources for this course.
