They will learn how to read chord diagrams and play the basic acoustic guitar chords.

I have been an Outschool teacher since May 2020.
As a music teacher and professional musician, I have 20+ years experience. The instruments that I teach include guitar, piano, ukelele, and electric bass guitar.
For classroom teaching, I have taught English and Music, as a high school teacher. I taught senior English Class at a private school.
I taught private piano and guitar lessons at a guitar store, for over 5 years, in addition to my own private students in my studio.
I have a bachelor's degree in music education, from Towson University, plus graduate studies in music education.
Homework Offered
I will post the song sheets in the classroom, each week. The students are encouraged to practice during the week.
0 - 1 hours per week outside of class
Assessments Offered
Informal assessment

Guitar
GuitarTuna app or online tuner
Or an electronic guitar tuner
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
I will send you a link for the GuitarTuna online guitar tuner. This is the tuner that I recommend. It is also available as a free app for your phone. There is no account needed for this tuner.
I will sometimes play a song for the student, using youtube on the zoom screen share. This will be to let them hear how the song goes, so they can more easily learn the song.
If you can "enable original sound" in your Zoom app, it would be a huge help. This will allow me to hear the learner's guitar. The default setting of Zoom, has a filter, which erases the guitar sound. I can help you with this. It will depend on what type of device you are using. Just a quick note - phones are not the best device for guitar lessons.
I will occasionally play a song on youtube, so that the student can hear how the song goes. I will send a link for guitartuna, which is the online tuner that I recommend.
