Class Experience

This class is taught in English.
I am a full-time music teacher, and I operate lesson studios in South Central Pennsylvania where I teach multiple instruments including guitar, bass, drums and ukulele.

As a musician, I appreciate what music has done for me not just artistically, but in my everyday social life. Growing up, I was a shy and introverted child and teenager, and it was the social aspect of music is what helped “bring me out of my shell”.

Thanks to music, I could instantly connect with other kids who were into music and make friends. It helped me make friends, join bands, get on stage and build my own confidence. The greatest gift is some of my best friends in life where other musicians who I met by playing music and I hope to bring some young musicians together and create some friendships in this class.
Learners will have to option to record and post videos for the class to see. In addition, I will provide teacher evaluation and personal feedback for each video. Video topics may include: Playing a song, playing a riff, performing original music, practicing along to “play-along tracks”, etc…

In addition, weekly ongoing activities will include things like:

-Make a list of your 5 favorite bands
-Make a list of your 10 favorite songs
-Find and list 5 cool rock riffs
-Find and list 5 fingerstyle players
-Find and list 5 fast guitar solos
All that is required for the learner is a guitar, all other materials will be provided in the classroom.
All learners will receive consistent teacher evaluation and ongoing feedback for submitted assignments.
30 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
