In this 2-week online course (4 lessons - twice per week), students with no prior musical knowledge will learn the essential elements of guitar playing ending with a final class performance.
Class experience
The class is intended for students with no prior music training and less than a year of music lessons. This class begins with an introduction to the guitar and the beginning steps of reading music.
Lesson 1: - String names, Proper Posture and Hand Positioning, Strumming & plucking
- Introduction to music reading and study of the essential music elements
Lesson 2: Listening and ear training/aural development, and study of an easy fingerstyle guitar song
Lesson 3: ...The students will learn the instrument's structure, including all guitar parts, how to hold the guitar, proper posture- hand positioning, and strumming & plucking. We will approach the basic guitar technique, such as understanding the anatomy of the instrument, proper guitar playing, various techniques, and understanding music notation adding a final performance at the end of the class.
