Guinea pig lovers, come join us! Bring your piggies to class, and let's share them. It's a virtual pig party! Bring a favorite snack or toy that your piggies like. Students will have a 1-2 minute time to share facts about their guinea pigs. This short time is great for students who are hesitant to speak in front of others. Students may also just listen if desired. Students may want to share things like piggie's name, age, gender, favorite food, favorite thing to do, etc.
Students will learn basic facts about guinea pigs and their care and basic needs. Students will gain practice and confidence in speaking in front of others
I am an elementary school science teacher. I have had guinea pigs as my class pet for years. I currently have 2 piggies... Piggie Smalls and Cocoa.
Your guinea pig, and optionally, their favorite snack or toy.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
