Class Experience
Students will be able to recognize different guinea pig breeds
I have been an animal owner for over 30 years with experience in exotic animals for 6 years.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
As animals can be unpredictable, it is recommended if a student brings a guinea pig to class they have parental monitoring close by in the event the guinea pig gets frightened. Parents, please note the words "poop" and "pee" will be used in this class as it is an important part of identifying the overall health of the guinea pig such as identifying illnesses. There may be images shown in class and descriptions on how to properly sex the guinea pig (finding out if it's a girl or boy). The teacher will always be sensitive and avoid being overly detailed in descriptions.
